It can boost compressed air or gas to a pressure of up to 870psi for those applications that need this higher pressure. KVF series booster compressor is equipped with a power system that is directly driven by diesel engine. Due to the hybrid system design, the KVF series booster compressor has a reduced number of components, which increases component life, extends maintenance intervals and reduces maintenance costs. The four-stage compression with inter-cooling is more efficient than a three-stage piston design. The optional air dryer also improves the compression efficiency of the booster. The variable speed drive makes the KVF series booster an average of 35% more energy efficient than fixed speed compressors.

How do Rotary Screw Air Compressors Work？

Rotary screw air compressor working principle is :The spiral rotor groove is filled with gas as it passes through the suction port,when the rotor rotates, the rotor groove is closed by the wall of the casing, forming a compression chamber, when the rotor groove is closed, the lubricating oil is sprayed into the compression chamber to seal and cool. When the rotor rotates and compresses the oil-gas mixture, the volume of the compression chamber decreases and the oil-gas mixture is compressed towards the exhaust port. When the compression chamber reach to the exhaust port, the oil and gas mixture from the compressor discharge, complete a suction – compression – exhaust process.
