Compressed Air Filter Instruction Manual

Installation Instructions

  1. The filter is generally installed after the aftercooler and storage tank, and is installed in order of accuracy from coarse to fine.
  2. The filter should be installed vertically and leave enough space below for easy replacement of the filter element.
  3. In the new air compressor system, compressed air is used to clean the pipeline during the test run. At this time, the filter element should be removed and installed after the pipeline is thoroughly cleaned.
  4. The threaded interface filters generally use galvanized pipe or seamless steel pipe links, and the pipe interface should be wrapped with sealing tape and coated with anti rust paint.
Special attenCompressed Air Filter Instruction Manual tion should be paid to the sealing tape not covering the pipe opening to prevent it from being blown off by
  5. compressed air and causing garbage.
  6. If there is a valve in front of the filter, it should be opened slowly. If opened quickly, it will cause a strong impact on the filter element and affect its service life.
  7. It is best to install a one-way valve at the back end of the filter to prevent backflow impact.
  8. The liquid discharged by the drain valve can be directed into the corresponding sewage pipeline through pipes to comply with legal environmental requirements.

Maintenance matters

  1. The automatic drain can be removed every month or used for 500 hours. It can be cleaned with soap water or degreaser, then soaked in clean water before being reinstalled.
  2. It is necessary to regularly check the automatic drain valve, rotate the copper sleeve upwards, and observe the drainage amount. If the drainage amount is too large, it will be blocked and needs to be removed for cleaning.
  3. It is necessary to regularly observe the pointer of the differential pressure gauge. If the differential pressure gauge exceeds the red line area, the filter element should be replaced in a timely manner, and only use the original factory filter element.
  4. When disassembling the filter housing, attention should be paid to closing the previous intake valve, opening the rear vent valve or other exhaust device, and ensuring sufficient pressure relief before opening the housing. Ensure the safety of dismantling personnel.
  5. When disassembling the filter housing, you can use belt pliers or pipe pliers to clamp the housing ribs and twist them to the right. Do not use hammers or other tools to knock the filter, so as not to damage it.
  6. When replacing the filter element, the matching sealing ring should be replaced at the same time.
  7. Replace the filter element every 6000-8000 hours under normal air pressure. The actual replacement time may vary depending on the environment and working conditions, and it is better not to exceed 8000 hours.

Note

Only filters cannot completely remove the oil and water and other pollutants. Depending on the different requirements of the gas equipment for the quality of the gas source, refrigerated compressor air dryers, heatless purge desiccant compress air dryers, and adsorption dryers can be configured to achieve better results.
