KTAD series externally heated desiccant air dryers are certificated by international standards such as ISO, ASME, CE, TUV and SGS. Unrivaled quality of original parts are maintenance-free and provided with long service life and high efficiency, can keep your compressed air equipment operating at its best.
Kotech KTAD series externally heated desiccant air dryer uses desiccants (such as activated alumina, molecular sieves) to reduce the moisture content in compressed air. The desiccant air dryer contains two working towers filled with desiccant, alternately adsorbing water molecules and regenerating air to discharge water molecules in a cycle to achieve the drying effect.
After the desiccant absorbs enough moisture, it is taken out of the dryer through the regenerated air flow, the external heat source helps enhance the drying and regeneration process while saving energy. Because of the external heat source, KTAD series desiccant air dryer can reduce the regenerated air consumption to 4-6% through micro-heat regeneration technology which is the leading level over the world.
KTAD series externally heated desiccant air dryer can reduce the pressure dew point of compressed air to -40℃ ~ -70℃, and the compressed air processing capacity range is 1.2-200Nm3/min(42.3-7026cfm), which is suitable for various fields and industrial occasions.
Kotech’s extended cycle time design can significantly save up to 80% of energy for KTAD series desiccant air dryer, while greatly increasing its lifespan.
KTAD series externally heated desiccant air dryers adopt a double tower design, with two drying towers for adsorption drying and regeneration drying respectively.
- Saturated compressed air passes through tower A, and the desiccant absorbs moisture. This helps to lower the dew point to discharge dry compressed air.
- Once the desiccant in container one reaches the set saturation, the air will switch to tower B to combine with the low-saturation desiccant.
- As the air passes through tower B, tower A will begin to regenerate the air and regenerate the desiccant material with the help of an external heater.
- When tower B reaches the set saturation, the air will switch through tower A to enter the next drying cycle until the designed pressure dew point is reached.
